Digital Marketing Tips to Boost Your Sales

Sharing is caring!

SEO is a digital marketing technique to improve the website visibility and thus by increasing the number of the target audience in a natural or unpaid manner. SEM is also a digital marketing technique to improve the website visibility but in a paid manner. When you search a commodity, product, a service or whatever keyword you are entering in the search engine, you can see relevant links to the same. Some links are paid ads or sponsored ads and the other links are the top search results. Let us see an example. If you search “iPhone price” in the search engine you will be listed with natural results (SEO) and paid results (SME).

Hope the idea is clear from the above-given example. Now we will see the next technique in Search Engine Marketing, PPC.

Wikipedia says: “Pay-per-click (PPC), also known as cost per click (CPC), is an internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, in which an advertiser pays a publisher (typically a website owner or a network of websites) when the ad is clicked.” In simpler terms, it is a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) method to find visitors to your business. How PPC works?

  • Step 1: Businesses or individuals will display their advertisements in the search engine.
  • Step 2: Every time their ad is clicked, businesses have to pay a particular amount to the search engine.
  • Step 3: The businesses will be beneficial by driving more visitors to their site (by clicking the ad).

We can consider PPC as a two-way business, as the search engine will be paid for a single click and the businesses may receive more sale by that single click. For example, if you have to pay an amount of Rs.100 for a click, the visitor may result in a business of Rs.1000, and then we can say that PPC will be an add-on marketing technique to your business.
